Three local family businesses, Dixon's Fish Market, Prairie Home Alliance, and Herman Brothers Pond Management have joined together to create a fishing park for children's groups, seniors, and special needs groups.

The Dixon family is providing the ponds and land, which were formally known as Fondulac Springs.  Nate Herman and Justin Herman of Herman Brothers Pond Management are providing the expertise.  Prairie Home Alliance is providing the management, logistics, and office staff.  The principals of Prairie Home Alliance are Steve Jackson and Mike and Carol O'Reilly.  The principals of Prairie Home Alliance have experience in hosting children's fishing tournaments and school field trips.

The group has named their organization Hooked on Fishing, a title which clearly communicates one of their primary goals of getting kids hooked on fishing.

These three local family businesses have started this non-for-profit organization, and plan never to charge for anything.   One of the fundamental aspects of this organization is that absolutely everything is free and there will never be a requirement to pay to go fishing. They want this to be a place free of cares and concerns...fun and fishing is what we are all about.

MISSION STATEMENT:

Our mission is to teach the sport and joy of fishing to local children, senior citizens, and special needs groups by providing the equipment, place, and education free of charge.
